Come soak it up, settle in, share and ENJOY the culture that is Vermont! Once you’ve been here and it’s clearly tough to leave, the brand transcends into a culture and you become aware that the culture is a way of life!
Extended stay takes on a new meaning! One bride shared “game-on” when she realized that instead of a wedding day, they could have a wedding weekend or week and that they could book now and return for their 1st Anniversary weekend. We’re told that many wedding guests who are first timers extend their stay and many book their next visit before they leave. So dip your toe in…don’t wait! You don’t have to be planning a wedding or invited to one. Come soak it up, settle in and see what everyone’s talking about, the culture that is Vermont!
Wedding season is in full swing! It is clearly another big wedding season in Vermont! The most sought-after venues don't have room for one more! It is for this reason we will take a pause with our usual fall show at the Killington Grand Hotel at Killington Resort.
It was the summer of 2001, after our very first show in Middlebury that we reconnected with Caryn from Killington out at the Lakehouse on Lake Bomoseen. We all recognized the increased interest in weddings in Vermont. The Killington Grand Hotel was putting the finishing touches on the largest square footage event space in the state and Caryn saw the value in being able to invite a crowd in to showcase this amazing new property and asked, “why not do a show at Killington, she said?” We presented our first Killington Bridal Show in October that year. Special THANKS and much gratitude to Caryn for including us in her vision to grow the wedding business at Killington! Many thanks to Jessica, Sharon, Krissey and the dedicated staff and team at Killington.
Come see the summer slopes! The Adventure Center is open with vacation packages that you can book lodging with activities together and then tour the property to see the many options for the wedding of your dreams! Mountainside and poolside at the Grand Hotel for a show-stopping ◦◦ceremony, and at the top, the rebuilt Peak Lodge for 360º breathtaking nuptials!
While you wait for winter, come play in the sun and enjoy the summer slopes!
At the Vermont Wedding Association we have continued to grow with requests from venues who partner with us to help grow their wedding business!
When the snow melts at the 4-season resort the majestic natural settings lure you back to Killington’s limitless warm weather adventures. These include the 18-hole Championship Golf Course, 35 miles of Mountain Bike Trails, 15 miles of Hiking Trails and then there’s the adrenaline packed Snowshed Adventure Center!
After an active day rejuvenate at the Grand (Hotel) Spa with a Warm Maple Sugar Scrub or a Black Diamond Sports Massage. The Grand Hotel’s well-appointed guest rooms can accommodate up to 400 people. The recent top-to-bottom renovations enhance their many amenities and along with an experienced and attentive guest services team is leading the way for winter couples to return to Killington in warmer weather.
Preston’s Restaurant, named for and inspired by Preston L. Smith, founder of Killington Resort, embodies mountain lifestyle and culinary creativity with Executive Chef Gregory Lang at the helm. They can create your Reception and Rehearsal Dinner menus with your wishes and requests. The on-site coordinators can implement their design skills to reflect your taste and style in a custom-tailored one-of-a-kind wedding celebration.
Your ceremony at the peak, the highest lift service in Vermont, offers breathtaking views, amazing vistas and panoramas of 5 states, Canada and three mountain ranges. Intimate receptions in the Peak Lodge maintain the big sky feel toasting, dining and dancing in the stars.
While many brides stress over making the cuts to their guest list one of Vermont’s largest and most complete events spaces allows you to invite them ALL! The large windows of the Oscar Wilde ballroom overlook the peak. The double doors spill out onto the expanded patio area around the pool. With your ceremony at the edge of the pond you’re still only steps away from the patio bar and the promenade into the ballroom! Our very snowy winter always inspires some surprise proposals at their favorite places paving the way for summer and fall weddings at Killington!
